2026 Annual Meeting

Health Care for All NC held our 2026 Annual Meeting, From Obstacle to Opportunity: Reforming U.S. Healthcare in the Trump Era, on January 24, 2026. The meeting featured keynote speaker Dr. Jonathan Oberlander, UNC professor and renowned political scientist, who gave a presentation on the current state of U.S. healthcare, the impacts of the Trump administration, and opportunities and obstacles to reforming U.S. healthcare. We also shared a video put together by Health Action NC, Terry's Story, which showed Terry Belk’s experience with receiving mountains of medical debt despite having private health insurance. Afterwards, a panel of professionals with experience in healthcare, finance, and patient experience, Dr. Steve Luking, Dr. Eugenie Komives, David McCole, and Steve Whitsitt, reacted to the presentation and provided insights based on their expertise and experience.
