Start a local chapter, invite a speaker and hold a small neighborhood or library meeting in your town. We probably have names and contact information for more people with whom you can meet in your local area. Why not just get together with a few of them for coffee and talk about your interests in establishing a Health Care system in our sate that fulfills the needs of all of our people?
There are several other easy actions you can take locally too and some of these may result in finding more people to join "Health Care for All NC" and to get some important and meaningful work done in your local area. These include: Writing an Editorial for a local newspaper, Meeting with State Legislators when they are in their home officeor tabling at some local event or at a supportive establishment. We will help you with any of these. Please contact our Executive Director.
Working on a City/Town or County Resolution is a great way to contribute some meaningful work to our cause in your local area, to get some media attention and to meet others in your local area. Within a short period of time you can complete this substantial contribution and maybe even generate enough interest locally for on-going work in your town (a chapter of our organization). This work involves a planned effort to get such a resolution passed by your City or Town Council (or with the County Commissioners) adopting a resolution on the Right to Health Care. It has no cost to the Town or County.
