Sharon Elliott-Bynum, RN, PhD
Sharon Elliott-Bynum is a Durham resident who joins the Board with significant experience both from her career as a nurse as well as her leadership roles in local health organizations in Durham. She is a co-founder for CAARE, Inc, a community-based service organization for HIV-positive and disenfranchised individuals; and has volunteered with several groups to diminish health disparities. Sharon's expertise in community organizing will be an asset to our organization. |

Jonathan Kotch is a physician specializing both in Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine. For nearly 30 years he has been on the faculty of the Department of Maternal and Child Health, School of Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of numerous scientific papers and is the editor of the leading textbook in Maternal and Child Health, now in its second edition. |

Claudia Prose Secretary
Claudia Prose is a general pediatrician and also has a master's degree in public health. She practices in Guilford County at a model clinic that serves families whose children have public insurance or are uninsured. She especially enjoys taking care of an international population with many immigrants from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of Physicians for a National Health Program. |

Rev. Dr. Rollin O. Russell, was a pastor of the United Church of Christ, in Harrisburg, PA, Houston, TX, and Ft. Worth, TX. He retired as Distinguished Professor of Lancaster Theological Seminary, 2004. Is a Chairperson of both the Christian Unity Committee, NC Council of Churches; 2004-present amd the Health Care Committee, United Church of Chapel Hill; 2009-present. |

Jessica Schorr Saxe is a family physician who has practiced with the underserved in Charlotte since 1980. She has a particular interest in prevention and in the health of children and families and has been involved in many advocacy activities.
